Fertility testing and evaluation
If pregnancy isn’t happening, a clear evaluation is the first step.
When to seek an evaluation
- After 12 months of trying if you are under 35
- After 6 months of trying if you are 35 or older
- Right away if you are over 40, have irregular or absent periods, known endometriosis, prior pelvic infection, or a partner with a known fertility concern
What testing may include
- Review of your cycles and health history
- Blood tests for ovulation, thyroid, prolactin, and ovarian reserve
- Pelvic ultrasound
- Evaluation of the fallopian tubes
- Semen analysis for your partner
Next steps
We provide fertility testing and initial evaluation. When advanced treatment such as IUI or IVF is needed, we refer you to a reproductive endocrinology specialist and share your results so you don’t start over.
